This Hire Agreement forms part of the Scrub Ya Rug booking process and must be accepted prior to hire. By booking or using our equipment, the customer (“you”, “the hirer”) agrees to the terms below.

Hire Details

Scrub Ya Rug provides carpet cleaning equipment hire on a delivery-and-collection basis only.
Hire is available exclusively within Mount Barker and immediate surrounding areas.

All hires are for a 24-hour period unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Delivery occurs between 7:00am – 9:00am on the booked date.
Collection occurs after 9:00am the following day.

Booking & Payment

Payment is required upfront to confirm a booking.

At the time of delivery, the total hire fee plus a $100 refundable security deposit will be charged in full via Square.

By proceeding with the booking, you authorise Scrub Ya Rug to process payment via Square at delivery.

The $100 deposit is held to cover potential damage, loss, or additional charges and will be refunded once the equipment has been collected and inspected, provided it is returned in acceptable condition.

Delivery & Responsibility

Scrub Ya Rug provides delivery and collection only. Customer pickup is not available.

Equipment may be left in a safe, accessible location if the customer is not home.

Once the equipment has been delivered, full responsibility for the hire equipment rests with the customer until it is collected by Scrub Ya Rug.

Scrub Ya Rug is not responsible for loss or theft of equipment once delivered, including when left unattended.

Use of Equipment

The customer agrees to:

• Use the equipment only as instructed
• Use the equipment only for its intended purpose
• Follow all operating and safety instructions provided
• Not modify, repair, tamper with, or misuse the equipment

The equipment must be returned emptied, rinsed, and reasonably clean.

Damage, Loss & Charges

The customer accepts full responsibility for the equipment from delivery until collection.

Normal wear and tear is expected.

• Damage
  Any damage caused by misuse, neglect, incorrect operation, or failure to follow instructions will be charged to the customer. Repair costs will be deducted from the refundable deposit.
• If repair costs exceed the $100 deposit, the customer agrees to pay the remaining balance.
• Loss or Theft
  If the equipment is lost, stolen, or not returned for any reason while in the customer’s possession (including when left unattended), the customer agrees to pay the full replacement cost of the equipment.

Failure to make the equipment accessible for collection may result in additional hire charges or replacement costs.

Add-Ons & Extras

Optional add-ons (such as upholstery tools or additional cleaning solutions) are subject to availability and must be requested at the time of booking.

Cancellations & Changes

Cancellations or changes must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery date.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, same-day cancellations, or failure to provide access for delivery or collection may result in loss of payment.

Where cancellation is made with sufficient notice, refunds or credits may be issued at Scrub Ya Rug’s discretion and processed back to the original payment method.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Scrub Ya Rug is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss
• The customer is responsible for determining whether the equipment is suitable for their intended use

Nothing in this agreement limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Privacy

Personal information is collected and handled in accordance with the Scrub Ya Rug Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.

Acceptance

By booking and/or using Scrub Ya Rug hire equipment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this Hire Agreement, the Terms & Conditions, and the Privacy Policy.
