Why we exist

It started, like most good grudges do, with a Saturday morning.

Carpet needed cleaning. Fine. Not a big job — just the usual crimes: a wine incident, a dog incident, the general accumulation of a household going about its business on top of a rug. So off to the hire store we went, like responsible adults, ready to fix it ourselves rather than pay someone else to fix it for us.

Forty minutes later — because obviously there was a queue, there's always a queue — we walked out with a machine that had clearly seen things. It smelled like it had cleaned every carpet in Adelaide except its own insides. The handle was sticky in a way we chose not to investigate. And somehow, this was the "clean" option.

That's the bit nobody talks about with carpet cleaner hire — it's not really a one-trip job, it's two. There and back, queue and queue again, all to rent a machine that's had a harder life than most rental cars.

So we asked the annoying question that starts most small businesses: why is this still like this? Why, in a world where you can get literally anything delivered to your door, is cleaning your own carpet still stuck in 2004 — drive there, wait, hope the machine doesn't have a personality of its own, drive back?

It didn't need to be. So we built the thing we wished existed: a scrubber that turns up at your door already clean, does its job, and disappears again the next day without you ever having to set foot in a hire store queue. No mystery stains from strangers. No forgetting to return it and copping a late fee. Just a machine, on your doorstep, ready to go.

Machines should be clean before they're your problem. Every scrubber gets properly disinfected between hires — you're never the poor soul who gets it fresh off someone else's carpet disaster.

Pricing shouldn't be a surprise at the counter. One flat price, shown upfront, same as we'd want if we were booking it ourselves.

Your time is worth something. That's the whole pitch, really — we're not cheaper because we cut corners, we're better because we cut the two trips down to zero.
