How we handle your information.

Information we collect

• Name, email address and phone number
• Delivery address, booking details and notes you provide
• Driver's licence number, expiry and state of issue for identity verification
• Payment and card-hold information processed by Stripe
• Basic website analytics and technical information where enabled

How we use it

We use personal information to process bookings, verify the hirer, arrange delivery and collection, communicate about your booking, provide support, process payment and the authorisation hold, protect our equipment, and improve the service.

Driver's licence details

Licence details are collected only to confirm the hirer's identity and protect against equipment loss. They are never used for marketing. We delete them after the card hold is released and no later than 30 days after collection, unless a legal or unresolved equipment issue requires otherwise.

Payments

Stripe processes the hire fee, extras and the $100 authorisation hold. Scrub Ya Rug does not see or store your full card number. Stripe handles card data under its own security and privacy practices.

When information may be disclosed

We may share information with service providers where necessary to operate the booking and payment service, comply with the law, or protect our rights and equipment. We do not sell personal information or share it for unrelated advertising.

Cookies and analytics

The site may use necessary cookies and basic analytics to operate bookings, understand site use and improve the customer experience. Browser settings can be used to control optional cookies.

Storage, access and correction

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. You may ask what information we hold about you or request a correction.
