The important bits, written plainly.

1. Bookings and identity

Bookings are subject to availability and our delivery area. A valid driver's licence is required so we can verify the person responsible for the hire.

2. Payment and the card hold

The $79.95 hire fee and any selected extras are paid securely through Stripe when you book. Scrub Ya Rug does not see or store your full card details.

A separate $100 authorisation hold is placed close to delivery. It is not a charge. We release it after the machine is returned and inspected. Your bank may take additional time to clear the pending hold.

If the equipment is damaged, lost, stolen or not returned, Scrub Ya Rug may capture some or all of the hold and seek reasonable costs above $100 where applicable.

3. Hire period

Standard hire is 24 hours. Delivery is between 7am and 9am on the booked date. Collection is after 9am the following day, or later if extra days were purchased. You must make the equipment accessible for collection.

4. Your responsibilities

• Use the equipment only as instructed and for its intended purpose.
• Follow all safety and suitability guidance.
• Keep the equipment secure from delivery until collection.
• Empty the dirty water and rinse the tanks before collection.
• Do not modify, repair, tamper with or misuse the equipment.

5. Extras

Optional extras are subject to availability. Bottled products are yours to keep. Tools must be returned with the machine. Extra days cost $25 when selected with the original booking. Contact us as soon as possible if you later need more time; extensions depend on availability and may be charged at the standard daily hire rate.

6. Cancellations and changes

Cancellation or rescheduling is free up to 48 hours before delivery. Inside 48 hours, contact us as soon as possible. A late cancellation, failed delivery, or failure to provide collection access may result in loss of some or all of the hire fee. Refund processing times depend on Stripe and your card provider.

7. Service area

The hire price is $79.95 everywhere we deliver. Mount Barker and the Adelaide Hills are serviced seven days. Southern and metro Adelaide are serviced on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Availability is always confirmed by the booking checker.

8. Liability and consumer rights

You are responsible for deciding whether the equipment is suitable for the surface you intend to clean. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
