These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings, hires, and use of the Scrub Ya Rug website and services. By making a booking or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.


1. About Us

Scrub Ya Rug provides carpet shampooer hire services to customers located in Mount Barker and

immediate surrounding areas only.

2. Bookings

  • All bookings must be made through our website or approved booking channels.

  • Bookings are subject to availability.

  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking where necessary.

3. Payment

  • Payment is required upfront to confirm your booking.

  • Payments are processed via Square upon delivery.

  • At the time of delivery, the total hire fee plus the $100 refundable deposit will be charged in full.

The $100 deposit is held to cover potential damage, loss, or additional charges and will be refunded once the equipment is collected and checked, provided it is returned in acceptable condition.

By proceeding with a booking, the customer authorises Scrub Ya Rug to process payment via Square at the time of delivery.

4. Hire Period

  • All hires are for 24 hours, unless otherwise stated.

  • Delivery: between 7:00am – 9:00am on the booked date.

  • Collection: occurs after 9:00am the following day.

Customers must ensure the equipment is accessible for collection.

5. Delivery & Collection

  • Scrub Ya Rug provides delivery and collection only (no customer pickup).

  • Equipment may be left in a safe, accessible location for collection if the customer is not home.

  • Once equipment is delivered, responsibility for the hire remains with the customer until it is collected.

Scrub Ya Rug is not responsible for loss or theft of equipment left unattended.

6. Use of Equipment

Customers agree to:

  • Use the equipment as instructed

  • Use the equipment only for its intended purpose

  • Not modify, repair, or misuse the equipment

The equipment must be returned clean, emptied, and rinsed.

7. Damage, Loss & Responsibility

  • The customer accepts full responsibility for the hire equipment from the time it is delivered until it is collected.

  • Normal wear and tear is expected.

Damage

  • Any damage caused by misuse, neglect, incorrect operation, or failure to follow instructions will be charged to the customer.

  • Repair costs will be deducted from the $100 refundable deposit.

  • If repair costs exceed the deposit, the customer agrees to pay the remaining balance.

Loss or Theft

  • If the equipment is lost, stolen, or not returned for any reason while in the customer’s possession (including when left unattended for collection), the customer agrees to pay the full replacement cost of the equipment.

  • Scrub Ya Rug is not responsible for loss or theft once the equipment has been delivered.

Unreturned Equipment

  • Failure to make equipment available for collection may result in additional hire charges or replacement costs.

By proceeding with a booking, the customer acknowledges and accepts these responsibilities.

8. Add-Ons & Extras

Optional add-ons (such as upholstery tools, extra cleaning solution, or stain solution) are subject to availability and must be requested at the time of booking.

9. Cancellations, Changes & Refunds

  • Cancellations or booking changes must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery date.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may not be eligible for a refund, as equipment and delivery schedules are already locked in.

Changes

  • Requests to change booking dates or details must be made at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to availability.

Refunds

  • Where cancellation is made with sufficient notice, refunds or credits will be issued at Scrub Ya Rug’s discretion.

  • Refunds will be processed back to the original payment method.

  • Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider.

Same-Day Cancellations & No-Shows

  • Same-day cancellations or failure to provide access for delivery or collection may result in loss of payment.

10. Service Area

Our services are limited to Mount Barker and immediate surrounding areas.

Bookings outside this area may be declined or cancelled.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Scrub Ya Rug is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss

  • Customers are responsible for determining whether the equipment is suitable for their intended use

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

12. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

13. Changes to These Terms

Scrub Ya Rug may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
